Founder
SISU Data was founded by Jared Miettunen, a healthcare data and analytics executive with extensive expertise in data engineering, SQL, analytics modernization, product development, and enterprise solution architecture.
Throughout his career, Jared has partnered with some of the nation's largest health systems to solve complex data challenges and modernize enterprise analytics. His work focuses on transforming fragmented, manual processes into scalable data platforms that expand organizational capacity, accelerate decision-making, and deliver measurable business value.
By helping executive leaders replace slow, error-prone workflows with modern data infrastructure, Jared has enabled organizations to operate more efficiently, reduce risk, and uncover opportunities that were previously out of reach.

A Personal Note from Jared
My experience spans data governance, enterprise architecture, product strategy, and large‑scale solution delivery. Over the years, I’ve led initiatives that helped organizations modernize their data foundations and operate with greater clarity and confidence.
One of the most impactful projects was redesigning a complex due‑diligence data architecture, reducing turnaround time from four weeks to just 48 hours and creating more than $10 billion in client value. I also architected a centralized data infrastructure that expanded a solution design organization from 15 to more than 150 professionals while increasing concurrent client capacity from one implementation to more than ten. Beyond these efforts, I’ve led the design, development, testing, and enterprise release of multiple data products and applications. A particularly meaningful milestone was delivering a full platform migration to a Microsoft‑based data exchange two months ahead of schedule, within a $600,000 budget, reducing operating costs by 90 percent, and generating an 18 percent annual return on investment.
While each of these accomplishments is different, they all share one common foundation: SISU.
I grew up in the forests of northern Minnesota in a Finnish family where the word sisu wasn’t just something we said — it was something we lived. In Finnish culture, sisu represents extraordinary determination, resilience, integrity, and the courage to persevere when the path is difficult. It’s the belief that obstacles are meant to be overcome through grit, discipline, and unwavering commitment to doing the right thing.
That mindset has shaped every stage of my career. Combined with my graduate education from the University of Denver and years of leading enterprise data transformation initiatives, it became the foundation for how I approach every client engagement.
